2025/6/4 UJICY ① In-situ hydrogen experiments Purpose of these experiments Do the In-situ hydrogen generation experiments in lab-scale using crude oil from Uzbekistan (Andijan) Evaluate the hydration generation characteristics using by experimental results ※Unfortunately, we have not simple GC yet. (maybe, in 2026?) In this year, we make the experimental equipment, and do the pre-experiments. (June, 23th) I will come back here

2025/6/4 UJICY The experimental equipment We have an electric furnace. But, we don’t have experimental parts. ⇒ So, I will bring them, when I will come back here. I will make the equipment with together. I, Japanese student (M1) and young researchers If possible, you make the new one using with what can be bought in Uzbekistan ※I understand maybe it is difficult to prepare the same one. ⇒ So, I will send the parts, but I don’t sure how to send it. (future)

2025/6/4 UJICY Experimental plans We don’t have simple GC. Measurement is limited to a few items. Total gas volume MgO Mg(OH)2 Ca(OH)2 O/H:1/1 ? ? ? O/H:1/5 ? ? ? O/H:1/10 ? ? ? × Temperature Sample weight Pressure When simple GC will be installed, you can do the these experiments again! ⇒ Then, we will obtain the data for in-situ hydrogen generation characteristics. ⇒ In this month, we try to do by organic oil (cooking oil) Later, Andijan Oil

2025/6/4 UJICY Before experiments We should get the fundamental data for Andijan Oil Ex. Oil density, C H N components etc. ⇒ Maybe SANEC? Company have information of this oil. If they don’t know, we should measure these in UJICY. Because it is difficult to send Oil to Japan.

2025/6/4 UJICY After experiments If possible, we want use the TGA, Surface area, and XRD XRF In these experiments, we use the minerals (MgO, Mg(OH)2, Ca(OH)2) After the experiments, we will open the reactor, and get the samples This mineral sample is expected to be carbonate. Because, generated CO2 by reforming is reacted with minerals ⇒ Confirm that amount of reacted CO2 by TG-DTA analysis

2025/6/4 UJICY After experiments Surface area We installed the packed beds mineral, particles maybe occurred sitering (agglomeration) Sintering caused to decrease the surface area. Surface area is important factor for reaction rate. XRD, XRF The results of TGA are maybe carbonate reactions. But, it is estimation. So, we confirm the carbonate minerals. Crude oil usually contain sulfur, so maybe obtain sulfate minerals. We must confirm by XRD and XRF.
