Kazakhstan international airport of Nur-Sultan, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is located almost within the city limits in the Yesil district, seventeen kilometers Southeast of the business center of the city.

It is one of the largest airports in the country and has the second largest passenger traffic among all Kazakhstan airports, after Almaty international airport. It is on the second place among the busiest airports in Central Asia, as well as on the twelfth place among the busiest airports in the entire post-Soviet space according to the results of the two thousand nineteenth year. It serves both Nur-Sultan itself and the adjacent districts of the Akmola region, and is also used by residents of neighboring regions ( in particular, the Karaganda region ).

Currently, all passenger traffic is divided between two passenger terminals (T1 and T2). The airport has twelve gates and ninety-two remote aircraft Parking areas. The last, T1 — international terminal, was put into operation on the thirty-first of may, two thousand and seventeen. The internal terminal building (T2) was designed by Kisho Kurokawa, a well — known Japanese architect and one of the founders of the metabolist movement.

On June 8, 2020, the three-letter code assigned by the international air transport Association (IATA) to Nursultan Nazarbayev airport was officially changed from TSE to NQZ.

Nursultan Nazarbayev international airport is the second largest passenger airport in Kazakhstan after Almaty international airport. Every day, up to 140 flights to the regions of the near and far abroad are carried out from the airport. The airport serves 20 airlines operating regular passenger flights related to the countries of far and near abroad : Air Astana, SCAT Airlines, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, LOT Polish Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Etihad Airways, flydubai and others. Every year, new routes are opened at the airport " Nursultan Nazarbayev ".

Kazakhstan airlines " Air Astana ", " FlyArystan ", " Qazaq Air " and "SCAT" use " Nursultan Nazarbayev " as a hub airport.The capital's airport provides regular flights to all regional centers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to CIS cities : Moscow, Tashkent, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kiev, Minsk, Kazan, Bishkek, Dushanbe, Mineralnye Vody, Tbilisi, Baku, Yerevan, Krasnodar. There are also flights to foreign cities : London, Paris, Frankfurt am main, Budapest, Warsaw, Prague, Istanbul, Antalya, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ulaanbaatar, Urumqi, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo.

The airport is connected to the city by buses and minibuses, as well as taxis. Bus number 12, route : secondary school number 19 — Airport — 6:40 — 21:20, the interval between flights is 15 minutes. Bus number 100, Express route : Nurly Zhol railway station — Airport — 07:00 — 21:48, the interval between flights is 14-16 minutes. The fare is 90 tenge when paying with a transport card, 180 tenge in cash. For an Express route-180 tenge when paying with a transport card and 250 tenge in cash.

Parking Passengers are offered free Parking and indoor Parking, serviced by "ASTANA LRT" LLP. The Parking complex is equipped with a video surveillance system with the ability to store and reproduce recorded information.
